Charge 2 display not turning on

My Fitbit Charge 2 screen is black, and will not light up, green lights flash, it is fully charged, and activity still records on phone app, but watch face will not illuminate. Have had for 3 years. Such an expensive tracker should not have a 3 year life time.

Hi @ColinCrayke, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Charge 2 following the next steps:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Disconnect your tracker from the charging cable.

Let me know if the issue persists and if you have any additional questions.

Hi
Thanks for your reply
I did all that as I’d read it on your website and in the eManual.

It is clear that the screen has failed. I wore it for a day and all my activity seemed to log with my phone app.
So clearly the tracker software is still working but the screen not. Which means it is of no use to me as either a watch or tracker whilst exercising.

I feel that is not good after just three years use.

Regards
Colin
