Charge 2 does not synch or connect with new moto g(7)

So my phone is able to find the fitbit, and I get the 4 number code to connect them, but then they just can't seem to connect. My time display is 5 days of and all my activity can't get to my phone. I've been strugling  for hours now. Reinstalled the app, checked for updates, reinitiated Bluetooth an tried to reset is but nothing works. Anybody out theee that can help?

Let me help you syncing your Charge 2 with your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Nope that does not work, this was very close to what I already tried except
for deleting/forgetting my other Bluetooth devices..

Any other suggestions? Or should I just sell my fitbit and buy something that does sync with my phone?
