Charge 2 exercise tracking, time in heart rate zones graph missing from app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I track my exercise via the Fitbit app (iPhone 6s) and using a Charge 2. It has always shown a graph that shows ‘time in heart rate zones’

The last few weeks this graph has completely disappeared.

I have tried resetting my Fitbit device. Reinstalling the app. Nothing works??

I'm missing all activity for 3 weeks in July? Apparently I either died and was re-born this morning or I was on a coma on the settee? V frustrating 😝

My Alta HR started doing the same thing. HR data recorded but doesn’t show up in exercise logs. Bpm and zone graphs missing.

My Charge 2 since last week, disappeared Heart Rate in the dashboard, any one can help?

This has happened to me too.  Last Sunday, heart rate tracked as normal from the app, as it has done perfectly for over a year.  This week, twice now, no heart rate showing up.    Not linked to the upgrade as one was before, and one was after.   I can see my heart rate being recorded on my Charge 2.  Workaround at the moment is to manually log the exercise afterwards.   You lose the GPS data but you get the heart rate details back.  If you enter the details exactly, FItbit seems to recognise it is the same exercise and overrides the tracked run.   This seems to be a bug Fitbut not user error so appreciate if you could pass this onto the tech team please.

That is a perfect screenshot, Tracey. Thank you!

My "Time in Heart Rate Zones" went missing last week.

While not happy it's missing, I like knowing it's not just me. Appreciate seeing others having the same issue and raising concerns here.

Now to get someone to help...?

This is happening to quite a few of us. I have an Alta HR and quite a few people noticed that in manual logged exercise that HR data and HR graphing no longer displays with GPS mapping. This seems to have started on July 29th. It is affecting several types of tracker. It seems to have affected FitBit app version 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.3.1  It is also affecting the Web version of the interface. There are five other groups discussing this problem. The biggest is "Avg bpm and HR zones not showing up in Exercise'. There are more than 50 people with this problem. (probably a lot more). Customer Service have not been much use so far. A couple of us have been told that the engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution. Others have been offered replacement trackers. Others have been told that this feature doesn't exist, despite that fact that screen shots clearly demonstrate that it does.  I suggest nagging Customer Support until FitBit become a bit more accountable.

I have the same problem. Has anyone contacted FitBit support?

Hi fitlife123, There are other groups discussing this exact issue. There are 27 people in 'Avg bpm and HR zones not showing up in Exercise' and lot of them (including me) have been in contact with Customer Support. I've sent 9 emails to Customer Support now and they are sending me a replacement tracker - I don't think this will fix the issue as I don't believe it is caused by a fault in the tracker but I am going to give it a try. Other people have been told that the FitBit engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a solutions. I have not heard of anyone have solved the problem. There have been many complaints about Customer Support being vague and misleading.

I did a cold reboot on my iPhone. IF you have an Iphone7, hold down the
power button and the Down Volume button.

I did a cold reboot and it works for me. I have an Iphone7. Hold down down volume and the power button simultaneously. Wait until the phone shuts off. I hope this will work for you.

Hi fitlife123, I tried a cold restart on my iPhone 8 (it's a bit different) but I looked it up to make sure I did correctly. However I'm still not getting HR graphs with my GPS maps in manually logged exercises which is my particular issue. I didn't do a force quit of the FitBit app before going out for some exercise so maybe I'll try that next. Has anyone else tried this?

I've powered off my phone (several times).

I've rebooted my FitBit (several times).

Nothing.

This continues to be a problem -- at least for me.

And because I have yet to see a solution that is *fixing* this, I just flagged this issue as a New Problem to report.

Since an upgrade or two, perhaps the option we're looking for (please see the beautiful screenshot by Tracey_williams) is no longer available, or perhaps it's moved to another location.

Bottom line: When I DO exercise, I prefer seeing the "Time in Heart Rate Zones" graph more than "Calories Burned."

I get an audio update of calories burned with every mile I complete, so...

Same issue I’ve been having... following hoping that there is a solution soon.

Hi,

Same here!

Either it shows the gps map of my running route OR the heart rate in zones.

Before it would display both.

Found several threads about this, keeping tabs on them hoping they will fix the problem.

No news yet

There are severel threads about the same issue !!! although explained differently but in all cases the Charge 2 does not display the gps map AND heart rate in zones with a graph any more.

Some people complain about the gps missing and other about the heart rate zones (graph) but it's all about the same problem. That the app does not display both after the excercise but one OR the other.

I am very surprised that with so many complaints over the past few months that there hasn't been any reply with a definitive solution,  or at least a tech. reply actually recognizing the issue and if Fitbit is actually looking into this.
