Charge 2 failure to sync with phone

I frequently have problems with my Fitbit syncing with the app on my phone. After following numerous troubleshooting tips it usually ends with me restarting my phone, resetting my Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and reconnecting my Fitbit to the app as though it was brand new. Extremely annoying. Why does this happen?

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not syncing with your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Which phone are you using? Is it compatibleYou can try the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
