I have a charge 2 that I'm trying to give to a friend. After linking to another phone the steps have not been reset to zero. We waited 24hr to see if the step would reset and they are still showing is there anyway to factory reset to delete previous steps. I have looked at many YouTube videos and nothing seems to be working.

There isn't a factory reset option for the Charge 2 but there is a restart function (same as a computer reboot). The instructions for this are at: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/
I would not expect this to clear the steps but it should ensure that the next midnight reset works ok.

@Dluna99 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't resetting. As @SteveH explained the restart should help solve this issue. I just wanted to add that when you setup the tracker on a new account it may get the steps of the last 24 hours but it seems that your device has been disconnected for longer than that. You can simply try setting it up on your friends account and see how it behaves.
