Charge 2 frozen display

Hello,

Someone please help! My Fitbit Charge 2 is completely frozen on the display screen with the time of 6:44 am with correct date (8/7/19). I have turned it off and back on. I have tried to reset the time zone and then sync it, then reset to normal and sync again, but this has not worked, and it won't sync either. This is very disappointing. 😞

@MBeckerRogers, welcome! It's great to see you around!

Let me help you with your unresponsive Charge 2 and thank you for restarting your device. Try removing it from your account then set it up again and check if there is any firmware update available too.

Let me know how it goes.

Hello,

I just saw your email, but previously linked it to a laptop as well, and
restarted it. I had to remove from my online account, then added it back.
It still would not work, would not sync for several tries, then would sync
out of the blue. Was very, very weird. I took it out and put it back in the
charger dozens of times, and then one time when I was making sure it was
making proper contact, I could tell the screen was actually loose. So I
pushed down on the screen, and instantly it started working again!! This
totally fixed the problem, so I know that the cause was and is the cracked
screen.

The plastic screen on it cracked in two places a long time ago (not long
after I purchased it), but it still worked, so I thought it was just
cosmetic and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it, waiting
for a long time without having it, and maybe getting it back months later.
Well, over time the cracks got deeper and deeper. Now, I wish I HAD sent it
back to be fixed or replaced.

That being said, can a new screen be obtained for it? I don't want to be
without it for weeks and weeks, or even months though! At this time, I can
not afford to buy a new one. So, if it finally dies, I'm going to have to
use my son's cheap knock-off from Amazon (he's not using anyway).

Thank you for your help,
Michelle Becker
