I have seen problems with Fitbit products on the Internet. They are fairly common.

I have had two watches replaced because of a defect in the wrist band. One watch was replaced free of charge and the other I had to pay.
With the current issue, the screen of my watch is split. With the many problems I have had in the past, I tried many times this week to have it replaced free of charge because of the short time involved (17 months) and the fact that many people have had their screens split because of hot weather.
Unfortunately, the problem is not resolved as I have to pay again to change watches with an equivalent new one.
Thank you.

I have a similar problem. I appreciated the post as I thought I had struck it on something even though I did not remember doing it. I contacted support and they gave me a discount to purchase a new newer unit. Fitbit should stand behind there products and repair or rep[ace when there is a known problem, even when out of warranty .

You are right. Fitbit should own up to its product and replace watches with issues
