My Fitbit has lines in the screen. I’ve tried plugging it in the charger and resetting it but that seems to not work. What should I do?

My watch was working great, till earlier today at work, I noticed black lines running across the screen. When I kept pressing the button on the left, hoping to improve it somehow...the display somehow completely turned inwards, as if it were a mirror image of the display.

In my experience, you FitBit is on it's way out. Go through all of the hoops to replace it if it is under warranty. This has generally been the downside and upside to FitBit, you have to jump a lot of hoops to replace (ex. Hard resets, updates, etc) but I've been very happy with customer service in my 4 years of owning.

This all started last week with the screen cracking randomly. I work in a manufacturing plant and during the summer it can get up to 115 degrees F inside the plant. I can still see the time and date but there are multiple blank lines through the digital displayed information. The watch is also loosing its charge daily, that started two days ago. Today, I took it off the charger this morning and lasted less than three hours and died again. My wife’s Fitbit isn’t giving her any issues, but she doesn’t work in an high temperature environment job. We bought them in the same week.

My Fitbit Charger 2 has vertical white lines. When I tried to restart it, it shows screen wake and notifications. I plugged it in and already charged it.
I notice that I have to log off and logon again to sync the Fitbit charger 2. Otherwise, the time shows the incorrect time.
Please advise.

Hi there,
My Fitbit Charge 2 has been displaying black lines for several weeks now, with more beginning to appear. I have tried the manual restart as suggesting with no avail; I have been careful not to drop or knock it against anything and it is still within warranty (I purchased it from Amazon in September last year).
Is there anything else I can try or is worth replacing?
Thank you 🙂

Hi!
I contacted Fitbit via Facebook. I described the problem to them in detail along with sending pictures of what happened.
Surprisingly, a company rep responded to me. The rep saw that my last update on my Fitbit took place 3 hours ago and will send this issue to the tech support.
This morning, I received an email re: a replacement for my defective Fitbit device.
If you have a Facebook account shoot the company an email and someone will respond to you.
No worries. 👍

I forgot to add the email did say the replacement will be for free. So no cost to you if you get the same device. If you want to upgrade it, then Fitbit will give the upgrade for 50% off.
👍
