Live in a three level townhouse and typically climb 6 - 11 flights of stair a day.
For past three weeks my Charge 2 has significantly over reported this figure. This morning I have been up two flights, but Fitbit reports 11. Is there a known fix or solution?

Welcome to the forums!
Floors are counted using an altimeter. An altimeter is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure and atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing elevation, so the it calculates elevation gain based on the reduction in atmospheric pressure. Your trackers register a floor when they detect continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet. Given the fact that 10 feet is an average between residential and commercial floor heights, although commercial floors in particular tend to be higher than residential floors.
It will add floors when it is windy or cold.

Thanks for your reply Wendy.
Given that my Charge 2 was recording the flights of stair correctly up to four weeks ago, are you aware if anything I can do to correct the over reporting?
Can I correct or recalibrate the settings on the altimeter that detects the pressure change associated with climbing stairs? Is there an altitude sensor that I can clean? Grasping at straws here.
