Charge 2 heart rate inaccurate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have been using my Charge 2 consistently for over 2 years. The heart rate sensor was fairly accurate until last week when the senor just stopped reading. I haven't changed the location of watch on my wrist and nothing new occurred. I read through the posts and tips on the and followed the recommendations. I made the adjustments and did the restart to the Fitbit 3 days ago. Day 1 seemed to be OK however Day 2 readings were between 110 and 125 all day - my normal was 65 - 100. Day 3/ today from the start the heart rate reading was at 120 - this is after getting up in the morning, no exercise. I compared the Fitbit heart rate output (120) to a manual reading (66) and using another device (65) several times. There are no updates listed for my device or the app. Looking for other solutions or if this means the senors is broken?

@KPeach It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my response.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not reading your heart rate correctly and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You don't mention which troubleshoots you tried so I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

Alvaro,

Thanks for the response. I have followed the instructions. I cleaned the sensor. Ensure it the watch is in the right place on my wrist (hasn't changed position since before the issue started). I restarted it, turned off the heart rate then turned on and hit sync. It did t work. I then put sync on auto. It worked for 2 days and then reverted to the inaccurate readings. The resting hr is never right. When I exercise it sometimes has the right reading. I have lost any detail on sleep (no sleep stages) and my calories burned are way off.

Any other sokutions? Or is this a defective device now?
