I have had my charge 2 for about 1 month and all was well until yesterday.
I noticed that the heart rate monitor was not working, it wasn't glazing green or reading my heart rate. The only thing I could do was reset it and this worked overnight and until lunch time today when I noticed it had stopped working again. So I have had to reset it again to get it to work. Any suggestions please, do I need to send it back or is it something silly.
Thanks

at best the HR monitor works when you aren't doing alot which is pointless, soon as you start doing anything vigorous or sweaty the HR will either stop working at all or wildly fluctuate untill you stop. This has been the case with the Charge series where HR was added.
That withstanding it's only meant to be a guide and nothing on your wrist will ever be accurate, if you have the sensor on the underside of the arm it works better but that's not convenient. Also i you have it about 2-3 finger widths above the boney part of your wrist and tight it works better but that digs in and is still no guarantee of relability
A chest based HR monitor will always be more accurate for that purpose..

I have had a Charge 2 for over two years. I have had the current band on it for over six months. The heart rate monitor alway worked. It just quit a couple of days ago. The instructions on a restart from tech support worked-- for a couple of hours, but now nothing works.
The only change in my environment was the application of insect repellent to my skin, but I have washed myself thoroughly and cleaned the back if the Charge 2 with isopropanol. No go.
Do the batteries just go on these things? I'm about done with Fitbit.
