Charge 2 + iPhone XR - inaccurate gps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've just got an iPhone XR and have already noticed issues with distance tracking:

1) a 25km bike ride on Saturday was logged as 10km

2) a walk yesterday which was planned at 8.8km was logged as 6.1km

3) my 7km bike commute this morning was logged as 0.59km

In each case the map displayed afterwards has accurately tracked my route. Everything seemed fine until I switched to the new phone - surely not a coincidence?

Thanks in advance.

@robbarker Welcome to the Fitbit Community.

I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Charge 2, when connected to your phone's GPS, doesn't seem to be recording your distance correctly. The iPhone XR is part of the list of supported devices so it should work fine.

I would recommend checking out this article for information about the different factors that can affect GPS signal. In addition, please perform a restart to your Tracker by following these steps.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any question.
