Charge 2 inaccuray GPS distance 2020

I saw some comments about inaccurate GPS distant on charge 2 but I think they were from awhile back.  After the latest update a few weeks ago, I noticed the distant on my Charge 2 was not correct.  Where normally when I get 6k steps, I have walked about 3 miles approximately.  I noticed after the last update that after getting 6k steps, it shows I've only walked close to 2 miles.  I walk/run on a  path.  This is before work or any other activity so I know the steps I am getting are from the run/walk.  I emailed Fitbit and asked the about it.  They suggested restarting the fitibit.  Which I did.  I also made sure it was connected to bluetooth.  It is still has the issue.  I blame the latest update.  Also, I think since they have or will phase out Charge 2, the GPS is not working with it and thus the distance is inaccurate.   Anyone else?  I wish they would be straight with me and give me an answer.

@SunsetRunner It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your inaccurate GPS signal using your Charge 2 and your phone and thank you for trouble shooting this issue. I suggest you clear the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi, I've just tried this and seem to be having the same issue. I'm extremely disappointed with my fitbit and am starting to seriously regret buying my fitbit Charge 2.
