I have started doing peloton classes on my "not-a-peloton" spin bike. I'm proper unfit so I'm just doing 10-15 min classes at the moment just to get my body moving. I've been disappointed to see though that my FitBit stays pretty much at resting the entire time.
Believe me when I say I'm not resting. I'm usually a sweating pig and my legs for sure know they have had a workout. Sometimes after I hop off the bike and I'm doing a post-ride stretch, it will hop up to 100-110 (fat burn) briefly before dropping back to resting.
Obviously, I know I've done something other than be sat on my butt so I'm trying not to get too disheartened but I would like to understand what's going on. Whether there is a setting wrong on my FitBit, if it has had it or there's something I'm doing wrong with it.

@TaffyApple Thanks for stopping by!
Let me help you with this. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I have followed these steps and while I haven't had a chance to test it out while on my bike, I have noticed something going on with it.
I had it off my wrist this evening and when I came to put it back on, it was saying that my HR was in the cardio zone and checking my phone, it had recorded I had done 2 hours of cardio and burnt 500 calories when my Fitbit wasn't near my wrist.
So that was odd.
