Charge 2 keeps looping a message and won't hold a charge

My Charge 2 keeps repeating a Notifications on , Notifications off message which runs down the battery.  I has stopped recording any of my activities.  Is there a fix for this or does it need to be replaced?.

@badkins42 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!

I will assist you with your Charge 2 changing the notifications settings constantly and sorry for the late reply. Clean the button area with cotton and rubbing alcohol and then use compressed air at a distance to clear any debris or dirt. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, for the idea, but I cleaned the button and blew the area out with compressed air and I still have the problem.

Mine did the same thing until the battery ran out.  I had tried the cleaning before I read this and it didn't help.

Mine did the same.  The fitbit live chat person told me it's stuck in a "reboot loop".  There's nothing that can be done to repair it and since it's out of warranty I'm stuck with it (pun intended).  They did offer me a link to 25% discount on a new purchase of specific products.  The link is active for 30 days and if I don't purchase something from them within this time frame the discount will expire.  My fitbit will still log steps but the constant buzzing from the notifications cycle drains the battery in under 3 hours (and is annoying as hell t wear).
