My app has stopped recognising any activity. Last weekend everything was working fine then 2 days later my tracker is showing calories burnt after a class but on syncing to the app…no exercise registers. I have done all the recommended stuff…opening/closing/deleting apps and tracker and still nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas/advice please?

Hi @JuanFitbit my internet searches led me here. I also have a charge 2 that stopped tracking around the same time as this thread started. I fell off the exercise wagon for a bit and was discouraged but want to start again and I need my tracking to stay motivated!! Do you have an update??

We haven't got a reply from them yet. The app is still on the fritz since last September from what I recall.

I don't know if anyone with a Charge 6 is having problems with the app as well.

While the walking is automatically tracked without using the Fitbit setting, I am still logging in my workout information.

@Rizzo73 I firmly believe that deleting your account won't help you. The Charge 2 is an unsupported legacy device. I just don't think Fitbit/Google will fix this problem. You are still in the window to restore your account, if you want. However, it can take up to 90 days to delete all the data in a long term account like yours.

Any updates on the Fitbit app getting fixed @JuanFitbit so that our exercise logging from our Fitbit Charge 2 models can be automatically detected by the app?

Looking forward to an update too. JuanFitbit said that the team was aware of the issue and was working on a solution.

Our last update from @JuanFitbit was back in June. It has been over a year since they have been aware of this issue. I’m not holding out much hope that this will ever be fixed. I’m still manually entering my workouts, which is very tedious. I won’t be purchasing another Fitbit, or any other Google product for that matter.

That is my assessment as well. This has been an issue since early summer 2024 and @JuanFitbit has asked the community what the issue is several times, each time getting several updates from the community and has always assured us "the team is working on a solution." And then later he acted like he had never heard of the issue when he asked again earlier this year. I manually enter all my workouts for the past 14 months and am using a couple other trackers now, one a GPS phone tacker and another wrist worn tracker from another company. Never again will I buy or pay for another Google product or service.

I didn't have those errors with my Charge 2 and the Fitbit app until the first week of September of last year.

Similar time frame here. I moved on with a different device. I have no confidence that Google will fix a problem with this "old" technology. I continue monitoring just in case Goolgle surprises us.

Surprise us by getting the app fixed at some point?
If the Charge 2's exercise tracking fails to sync by the end of the year, I'm going to have to resign.
