My app has stopped recognising any activity. Last weekend everything was working fine then 2 days later my tracker is showing calories burnt after a class but on syncing to the app…no exercise registers. I have done all the recommended stuff…opening/closing/deleting apps and tracker and still nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas/advice please?

I was wondering that actually as this thread only relates to Charge 2

Actually someone mentioned that it was affecting Versa 1 through 3 as well, but it does seem to be affecting older trackers more broadly. I thought it was a device issue too. And that may be a factor, but there is definitely an app problem to go along with it. Because even when the tracker is reporting things correctly, the data isn’t making it back to the app.

I had high hopes yesterday after updating to 4.27, so I jumped on the treadmill and set the device to track..............only to find out later that it still wasn't syncing. Couldn't they just go back a few versions to a working one, it can't be that hard. I still think they are trying to drop the older models.

Updated app to 4.27 on 10/1
App still not reflecting exercises recorded on device

My tracker actually gave me a workout summary when I ended my spin workout today and I had high hopes this meant they’d fixed the problem. But it still didn’t send that data back to the app.
Oddly enough though, the tracker itself seems to have also added an option that appears to be a game. It wasn’t there before today; I would have noticed it. Not sure how to play it or if I even want to burn battery on it, but it does seem like there was an update to the tracker itself, because I didn’t update the app until just now.

I have the same issue, and my app is on 4.27!😱

Yeah, it's unlikely to get resolved. It doesn't feel like a bug. It feels like features that have been striped away and not coming back.
If you want to get Google/Fitbit's attention, ask them for updates through Twitter/X. This is a small fishbowl/community and nobody that can do anything about it is paying any attention to this. If I was Google, I wouldn't want everybody to put negative stuff out where people actually pay attention to.

I will be be buying an alternative device, but one that has any kind of link to Fitbit or Google.
I wonder if those who didn’t migrate to google are also having these problems?

Didn't somebody say that this has also affected the Fitbit Versas?
If Fitbit has a Twitter/X page, will they respond to your complaints?

This is the way to affect this issue right here. If Google Alphabet operates a Fitbit page on X.

Same issue for me. I have reset my device, reinstalled the apps, etc. Nothing seems to work. Anyone had any luck in resolution yet? My Charge 2 is still in great condition and really do not want to buy a different device.

It doesn't appear to be an issue with the devices, according to the customer service rep I chatted with last week, it's an issue with the app that they are working on (though I haven't seen any proof of that yet). Has anyone else reported this at Downdector.com? Any rfeedback from reports on X?

Same issue, I've tried everything, experiencing issue now for just over 3 weeks

I don't know if Downdector can be made aware of this. As for Fitbit's Twitter/X, I haven't seen anyone making any comments about the errors to the different activity bands.

I just reported the Fitbit app down on Downdetector. Funny though -- Downdetector says "No current problems at Fitbit." It does show a handful of reports of issues though and 92% of the problems are with the app. I think if everyone on this thread reported it on Downdetector.com it would be good.

After providing the required information on a DM to Twitter/X's Fitbit Support, they told me "We're currently rolling out version 4.27 of the Fitbit app which may help with the issue. Keep checking the Google Play Store periodically as it should become available on your end very soon".

Perhaps it might show up there. If you got Fitbit from there, keep checking it periodically.

4.27 is available for iPhone on the App Store. I updated today but unfortunately, it didn't fix anything and is even more glitchy. My step count went up and down and up all day, still doesn't match what is on my device and isn't syncing correctly with my other health app anymore. I checked out comments on Fitbit's Facebook page posts and this issue with the app is across all devices.
