My app has stopped recognising any activity. Last weekend everything was working fine then 2 days later my tracker is showing calories burnt after a class but on syncing to the app…no exercise registers. I have done all the recommended stuff…opening/closing/deleting apps and tracker and still nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas/advice please?

Same issue with Safari and Apple devices, ongoing for months, no resolution.

I did contact the Fitbit Support team on Twitter/X and they'll take a look at it after I had to share this link on the DM to them.

"I did contact the Fitbit Support team on Twitter/X and they'll take a look at it after I had to share this link on the DM to them"
Obviously you did not backread. None of the reporting in every known platform were effective. Ignored is the general consensus. Someone can personally talk in person to the CEO of fitbit and expect the same results. Old trackers are unofficially cancelled. Fitbit is not professional enough to announce the issue. Our trackers are just paperweight at the moment. Or you can still wear them as a regular time and date watch. I will never again deal with companies that behaves this way.

I also left the link of this discussion in the DM.
Like I had mentioned in this thread, I am giving the Fitbit company until the end of the year to fix the glitch before I consider resigning.

Fitbit has always been a serious company with quality products. It's not right to abandon customers like this. Given the problems, I asked for a significant discount to upgrade to the Charge 6. Fitbit/google says they aren't available. Wrong commercial policy because loyal customers are lost.
By the way, which alternative product do you suggest?

If you having trouble deciding what to buy, here is a good YT channel that tests the accuracy of the devices: https://www.youtube.com/@TheQuantifiedScientist

No they haven't yet.
I'm giving them till the end of the year to get these bugs fixed. Now there's a bug that causes the app to think we've done more than what we've done in steps that might be mentioned on another thread.

I have called customer service three times now and each time, the person I spoke to was totally unaware of any issue. They said they would research my issue and respond within a couple days. It’s been over a week and I’ve heard nothing.
I also left a review on the app itself and they responded with a “tip” on how to use the GPS tracker. Very frustrating that Google doesn’t seem to care they have customers dealing with a faulty product!

I am so tired of these problems that after 11 years of happy use with multiple devices I am researching other systems. But I want to save all my 11 years of data before I dump Fitbit. It's not Fitbit is it? The original systems people must be horrified at Google's failure to resolve the problems and the low customer satisfaction.
Can someone please post the link to saving years of data? Then I can research alternatives. Thanks.

A workaround I do is turn my app on to track by exercise so it tells me my distance, but the band auto turns on when I start running. I’ll finish the exercise on the app and then shutoff the auto tracking. The actual Fitbit keeps the exercises. I use it for my classes and it always tracks it correctly.

You think that's also bad. My Fitbit app has been upping the steps that do not match the ones on the Fitbit Charge 2 when I either track my walk on the Fitbit App or activate the walk option on my Fitbit Charge 2. This was also mentioned somewhere on the same forum here.

Another thing i noticed is fitbit counts tossing and turning on the bed as steps. Anyway, app update 4.30 just went up for the android smart phones. Im not gonna bother waking up mg tracker to charge it just to fond out again that its not fixed.

How the f*ck do they break the base feature of a fitness band is beyond me.
It's been almost three months and not only is it still broken, there's exactly zero comms on it.
My Charge 2 is already on its way out, and at this rate, I am NOT buying another one.
The fact they rolled out such a broken update with absolutely no rollback options is sloppy to say the least. If I did something like this I would have been fired.

I'm in the same boat as others here with the Charge 2 manual tracking not syncing to the data on the app. Its frustrating not having that fitness record in my data.
------
Last week I did a Fitbit app update and no progress. Last night, I did the Apple Update to IOS 18.1.1 and this morning my Charge 2 actually sync'd the manually tracked cardio into the app this morning. I think they've solved it! Thank you.

What exercise did it successfully track?
I still had to log the Workout information.
