Charge 2 no longer connecting through Bluetooth to Android

Two nights ago my fitbit Charge 2 seemed to have an 'episode' and seemed to get stuck on the screen to the battery (I was not touching the buttons at all- just sitting and watching TV). I could not get it to stop and it was late so I went to bed. It ran out of battery overnight because of the problem.

When I recharged it and connected it in the morning it came up with 1am at 5:30am and would not sync to my phone. I have tried:

  • opening and closing the app - numerous times
  • turning on and off bluetooth -numerous times
  • restarting the fitbit - numerous times
  • restarting my phone- several times
  • removed and re-downloading the app - several times
  • un-pairing my fitbit from my phone..... now my bluetooth cannot locate my fitbit to reconnect/pair to it.

I have had my fitbit for 2 years. I have had syncing problems in the past and these things seemed to solve the problem. it is still reading about 4.5hr late and not visible via bluetooth.
