Charge 2 no longer receiving notifications

My Charge 2 is no longer receiving notifications for text messages or calls.  I tried the trouble shooting recommendations that are listed but it still doesn't work.  When I try to pair it, it says the bluetooth pairing failed.  I haven't done anything different, it just stopped working.  The notifications are turned on.  I don't know if it could be related to the new update.  Anyone else having this issue?

Mine was not working for the past week and then I turned on the cellular data on my iPhone and it’s working again!

Turning cellular data on in my iPhone 6s did not make any difference on my Charge 2. 😞

Becky , I also restarted my watch by plugging it on the charger and pressing the button 4 seconds until you see the FitBit logo - sign that it restarted ..

i also had removed my device from my Fitbit app and resynched it! I hope it helps !

Exact same issue here.  I was getting the text notifications just fine and then my text messages stopped giving the text message, but at least I knew I was getting a text.  Now no notification whatsoever.

Have done all the trouble shooting tips I can find.  Restarted my Charge 2, reset the Bluetooth, reset all the notification settings, even went to far as to uninstall the Fitbit app and then reinstall it.  But alas, no text message notifications on my Charge 2.

Firmware version 22.22.58.0

Having same notification issues since the firmware version update.

I have deleted the Fitbit device and app, reinstalled, paired to Bluetooth multiple times, rebooted both the phone and device multiple times and nothing changes. I can confirm that notifications are turned on for both Fitbit and the messaging app (settings). As mentioned as a possible fix in other posts, cellular data is turned on.

Interestingly, I was able to confirm that the notifications work for the Facebook Messenger app, but not SMS. Have not tested it with WhatsApp.

I still receive the phone call notifications, but have experienced the incorrect display info that others have mentioned. Some days the Charge will display the correct caller info, some days it displays the incorrect caller's name and sometimes it just vibrates and displays no caller info (even if it's someone in my contacts).

* Phone brand, model & os - Google Pixel 2, Android v 10 on Google FI service

* Default messaging app - Android Messages
* Fitbit app version - 3.6

I have the same problem and have had it for weeks. I've tried everything and no luck. I've scoured the sites, the community, the blogs. None of the fixes have worked. I've given up and ordered a Garmin.  Which makes me sad as I've been a Fitbit customer from the very start - data dating back to April of 2011. 😞  But I can't live without caller or text notifications in my line of business and can't wait any longer for a bandaid fix.  Good luck everyone!

Thank you for your response. I have tried everything too except delete and reinstall the app. I’m in a challenge and was worried it would erase my steps 😞  I love my Fitbit and don't want to get a different brand but I understand why you decided to do that.

I quit receiving notifications Sept 11th, and my charge isnt syncing to my phone or sending text or phone call notifications since then.  It showed my phone paired to my Charge 2, but wasnt working, then when I unpaired and tried to pair again, it couldn't pair. Very frustrating!

Phone the free phone number for fitbit and hopefully they will fix the problem. They did for me.

I have the same problem  for a week now. I am searching her for answers. I really like to keep my phone and silent and let the Fitbit notify me for calls and texts.
Any solutions yet?

You'll need to go to phone settings, manage apps, fitbit, then turn on "autostart".

Repeat the same for the notifying app, Whatsapp for example. Go to phone settings, manage apps, whatsapp, then turn on "autostart".

Hi I have had this problem since July, I have a Ticket open since then, I have spoken to them, done all the checks that they asked me to do but nothing is working, and they don't seem to be bothered about the problem.

Yes, I tried the same approaches as @Spinnergrl  — did not work.

If an update is the root cause of functionality loss for so many formerly happy Fitbit users, is anything being done to fix that update?  This has been going on for too long!  We should not have to spend so much time trying (usually unsuccessfully, it seems) to fix issues forced on us.

Did not work on my iPhone, but thanks.
