My Charge 2 is no longer receiving notifications for text messages or calls. I tried the trouble shooting recommendations that are listed but it still doesn't work. When I try to pair it, it says the bluetooth pairing failed. I haven't done anything different, it just stopped working. The notifications are turned on. I don't know if it could be related to the new update. Anyone else having this issue?

Stopped getting text notifications after I updated to Android 10.
I've called fitbit twice and tried everything. Uninstalled my fitbit. Didn't work. Uninstalled the fitbit app. Didn't work. I did this twice and it hasn't worked.
How do you get the older version of fitbit back?
Tried all that. More than once. Nothing is getting my text message notifications to work.
I completely agree. I have owned 3 fitbits since 2014 and I, too, need the text notifications. I will give them till the end of the month and then I am buying another tracker brand.
Yes, I have called them 3 times and they were unable to fix my issue. Thanks.
I have never heard of "autostart". Is that for iphone or android?

Hello, my phone is a Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro running Android Pie. It has the "autostart" option for each app in settings. I checked "autostart" for both the Fitbit app and the messaging app. After restarting the phone, notification started working again.

I have Android 10 running on Google Pixel 3. Sorry, I couldn't find autostart on my phone. I tried.

That's unfortunate. I hope Fitbit will have a solution for this in the next update. Meanwhile, have you tried re-installing the Fitbit app?

With my previous phone running Android Marshmallow, I did experience apps not working as intended. But they all started working again after I had factory-restored my phone.
Not sure if this is something that you would wanna try though.

I’d like to know that as well. Nothing else is working.

I was referring to the question about uninstalling the new version and going back to an older version of the app that works.

I don't know how you get the older versions so I haven't tried it.

My Charge 2 stopped giving me the messages in a text, would just say sender's name.
My calls were coming in with the name of the last caller coming in, not the current caller, and now I'm not getting any message notifications at all. I did the update... If this the cause of these changes??

I am not sure what the cause is. I believe it is from the upgrade to Android 10. They won't confirm that. I called Fitbit 3 times about this issue since early September. All I hear is that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. I

I have an iPhone and it notifications quit after an update as well. So it isn’t an Android only. I have tried the recommendations given, and texts/calls still aren’t received on Fitbit charge 2. I do receive the Fitbit notification of ‘time To move’ hourly. Hopefully they will get it figured out soon.

"Autostarting" the Fitbit app and the messaging app did the trick for me. I remember I also turned off battery saving for these 2 apps too.
I really like Fitbit's notification feature. It's unfortunate that they have introduced app updates that "disabled" this great feature for many users. Worst thing is that there don't seem to be a quick and easy fix for everyone.

I don't seem to have the auto restart feature on my phone. It's a Google pixel.. Maybe an iPhone feature?
I love the notification feature as well so I don't feel as dependent on having to have my phone on me constantly.
Thanks for your suggestion though
