My Charge 2 is no longer receiving notifications for text messages or calls. I tried the trouble shooting recommendations that are listed but it still doesn't work. When I try to pair it, it says the bluetooth pairing failed. I haven't done anything different, it just stopped working. The notifications are turned on. I don't know if it could be related to the new update. Anyone else having this issue?

Same issue. My Apple watch is already in my Amazon cart. Bye Fitbit.

I don't have an iphone. I have an android phone. Notifications haven't worked since end of August. Almost 2 months. Bet they will fix the iphone issues first, not android.

My issue is with an android phone also. Is it because you want us to upgrade from the charge 2 which you no longer make?

I did ask Fitbit about that. I have a Charge 2 and I asked if I upgraded to another Fitbit would that help and they said "no".

I'm ready to get a Garmin. Which one did you get and does it do what your FitBit did?

I have not been able to receive text notifications since September 3. I have Google Pixel, not an iPhone and I don't see Fitbit mentioning any comment here about working on it. I have called Fitbit at least 5 times and I have been getting the same response over and over. I tried everything. Third party apps don't work either.

Oh, also read that Google (again, which has the Google Pixel ANDROID phone) bought FitBit a few days ago. Maybe Google will fix the issue. Apparently, FitBit can't!

Well, it seems obvious that no one has been working on the text/calendar/phone call notification issue while the sale of Fitbit to Google was pending. Now that Google owns Fitbit, we can only hope that serious attention will be given to the many (way more than ever post in these forums) Fitbit customers who have lost significant functionality over three months ago.
I foresee a mass exodus from Fitbit rather than upgrades to other Fitbit devices from the Charge 2. However, I would love to be wrong on this!

Me too, and Fitbit is basically saying, "Hey, person with the 3-year-old Fitbit, we won't support that any more. So, go buy another Fitbit. Isn't that a great solution!!!"
Why would I ever buy another product from them???

Yup, why would I EVER buy another Fitbit product?
It is a non-company.

Fitbit - what a train-wreck.
Getting my 2 non-syncing Charge 2s and Aria up on eBay pronto.
Would NEVER buy another Fitbit product.

From what I understand from Fitbit when I called them, even buying a new Fitbit won't help. They claim the issue is with the software and that even the highest-end Fitbit won't help me get my text messages and calls. They need to fix their software. Again this is been going on now about 10 weeks at least. I want a tracker that will give me text messages and calls. If anyone knows of a brand that does that please let me know.

I had to change my message setting to always show previews in order to receive messages on my charge 2. I don’t want previews to show on my phone. Privacy issues.

have tried all the troubleshooting to get my charge 2 to receive notifications. one thing i noticed when i did the hard restart of the fitbit - is that the screen briefly flashed "Notifications off". i went into my app and they are all on (call, text, calendar). something is still wrong.
advice?

No, no advice. I tried everything and nothing works.
