My Charge 2 is no longer receiving notifications for text messages or calls. I tried the trouble shooting recommendations that are listed but it still doesn't work. When I try to pair it, it says the bluetooth pairing failed. I haven't done anything different, it just stopped working. The notifications are turned on. I don't know if it could be related to the new update. Anyone else having this issue?

My Charge 2 also stopped receiving calls and texts AFTER I installed the most recent update. Relate? I think so.

I have the exact situation, and my father's Charge 2 also has the same issue. Very frustrating to no longer see/feel notifications on my Fitbit for text messages and phone calls. I haven't seen a response in the update topic providing any indication these issues (which resulted after the update) will be fixed. Seems with so many complaints, a positive message would be delivered by Fitbit to ensure that their update will be further updated to correct the issues caused by their update. I've purchased four types of Fitbits over the years . . . maybe it's time for a Garmin.

I used the free phone number for fitbit. I got through to a lovely lady in Columbia who after about an hour and a quarter was able to fix the problem. I am now receiving notifications of texts and calls on my fitbit charge 2. Worth a try for all those with the same issue.

@Goopamst What did the Fitbit tech advised you to do? I was able to receive text messages but sender name only and calendar notifications. However with the last update, I am not even getting any text messages at all. Not even the sender names. I am getting calendar notifications tho. I tried using different sms apps and no change. I have also clear Bluetooth cache and restarted the app (force stop) Any wise tech people out there know what's happening?

@huffk I have a ticket open with FitBit now. They said it's an "unusual" android issue. Let's see if they will respond. Wish me luck!

I am having same issues. Glad to see others are too. I never even even thought it could be related to app updates! I am not a gadget person so never thought about it. I too have an android.

Another community thread recommended using fit notification 3rd party google app. I am using it now and it works really good. It’s a good fix until Fitbit responds to this.

Finally deleted the most updated Android Fitbit app 3.0 and reinstalled 2.95. Text messages (sender+messages) are back. Hallelujah!

It is definitely not an unusual Android issue -- I no longer receive text msgs., calls, or calendar notifications on my Fitbit, and I have an iPhone. My dad has the same issue, as I'm sure a lot of people do who have not posted here.
