Charge 2 no longer shows heart rate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Charge 2 for about 3 years. It no longer shows the heart rate.

Tt started becoming intermittent  2 days ago. Then stopped all together.

I reset the fitbit and it started working again for about 4 hours. It then stopped working again.

I tied further resets and it no longer displays any heart rate on the fitbit (nor in the app.)

I have tried changing the heart rate to ON' mode as well as 'Auto', but it doesn't make any difference.

Everything else appears to be working normally.

As a Cardio patient I rely on my fitbit to check on my health.

Thanks for the reply. It seems that the Fitbit was starting to fail and is now non functioning.

I had battery issues some months ago and a restart seemed to fix that, although multiple restarts were required to get it to recognize that the battery was in fact charged,

I spoke with tech support with the heart rate issue and I don’t know if they tried remotely to do anything but the Fitbit basically stopped working and showed a battery icon constantly.

Following multiple resets it now does very strange things. Repeated restarts have not helped the display is always on and it cycles through the different settings and acts as if someone is constantly pressing the button. The tech supprt offered me a discount on a new unit, which I now have on order.

Sad that electronics devices cannot be made repairable or at least the battery replaced when needed. I guess 3 years is about the lifetime for these types of devices.

I like my Fitbit, hence ordering a new one. It would be nice if they could give it a 5 year lifetime instead of 3 (Battery replacement.or repair an option).

Thanks anyway. Mike Betts
