Charge 2 not charging

Mine is brand new out of the box. Didn't even acknowledge it was on a charger, no charge symbol on screen. Wont turn on.  Screen is just black. Tried different outlets, blocks etc. Trying for almost 24 hours with no change.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @MarciaHughes. Thank you for letting us know that your brand new Charge 2 screen won't turn ON and for mentioning that you have tried different outlets and blocks. 

To turn on your device and be able to start using it you must pair to your account. Please check: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

I tried that. Will try again. If it doesn't work going to return it and go back to SamsungSent from my U.S.Cellular© Smartphone

I have questions calling a 4 year old device, even if it is still in its package, brand new.

When my Fitbit does this I just hold down all 3buttons for a long time and it eventually recovers and starts. If not, contact Fitbit

@Rich_Laue, even it's packaged and unused I don't think it's brand new.
