I brought a charge 2 yesterday, i have set it up but the only issue i am having is that the messages aren't being displayed, its only coming up with the name of the person that has sent me the message.under the notification display options I have checked the sender and message option but as i said I'm just getting the sender and not the message. Any thoughts on how i can fix this?

It's nice to see you around the forums @Greeneyes78! Hmmm... is this the first time you have this issue with your notifications?
Let's try the following step-by-step:
- Make sure that your Fitbit App is up-to-date
- Log out of your Fitbit App
- Force quit the App
- Restart your Charge 2, 3 times in a row
- Turn off the Bluetooth
- Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
- Turn on the Bluetooth
- Log back into your Fitbit App
- Make sure that "Enable Notification Widget" is turned on. This can be found with other notification settings in the Fitbit Android App.
- Turn on "Always Connected" in the Fitbit Android App. What this does is improve the Bluetooth connection between your Charge 2 and your mobile device.
- Verify that you have notifications turned "On" on-device by holding the button on your Charge 2 for two to three seconds when your Charge 2 is displaying its clock face.
PS: If you're on Android app, if the preview message is off then it won't preview through Fitbit either, no matter what you set it to through the app. So, check it by going to Settings --> Device --> Applications --> Messages --> Notifications --> Must be on, pop-up display switched on, and Preview Message on.
Give this a shot and let me know if that works!

I tried all of the above and its still just displaying the name of the person and underneath it says 1 new message. If i use the "'messages"' default messaging app then i can see the message but I want to use the 'messenger'' default messaging app as this is my main way i get my messages.

Thanks for trying the suggestions I provided @Greeneyes78! Don't wanna bother you anymore my friend, but I'd like you to please check this thread and check what worked for @annie-nz. There are steps I already provided, but maybe I missed one of them.
However, I've created a case to get you in contact with our Support team about this. They will be able to work with you and review your options. Please keep a lookout in your inbox to the email address associated with this Fitbit account. Someone will be in contact with you soon!

my charge 2 had this problem from early July. I noticed today it is working again. Yay! I don't know if there has been an update.
