Charge 2 not getting call or text notifications

For some reason my Fitbit Charge 2 is no longer displaying my phone calls or text messages. I'm getting no notifications. It's as though it's not connected to my phone any longer.  It was working fine up until a couple weeks ago. Is there some setting I need to check that I may have inadvertently changed either on my Fitbit or on my Iphone? Not sure if the IOS upgrade on my Iphone or the upgrade to my Fitbit affected this some how.

Trying to see if anyone has found an answer to why only the sender appears and not the text message on Charge 2.  My wife's Fitbit Charge 2 is doing the same thing.

Mine is still showing only the sender and not the message. It has been almost a year and no change. Very rarely I do see the message, but no rhyme or reason when it does display.

When the phone is locked and a message comes to the phone, how is the notification displayed on the phones lock screen?

It showed only new message so I changed it to show full message & tested it again so now fitbit did show the message. I will leave the phone in this setting for a while to see what it does. 

In the past most messages would not show, but some would. If it was a phone setting I don't know why some random texts would work while most did not.
