Charge 2 not getting sleep stages

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

It says that it couldn't get a consistent heart rate reading while I slept. But it had been working for months before all of a sudden having this happened. I didn't change how I was wearing it or where I was wearing it!

@Bexmeow14 Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear that you aren't getting Sleep stages. You may not get them for the following reasons:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed). For more information on automatic sleep tracking, see How do I track my sleep?
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

I also moved your post to its own thread as it wasn't related to the topic on the previous one.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi, I'm also having the same problems. I've had my Charge 2 for about three weeks now with very intermittent sleep tracking. Some nights it tracks between 2 and 3 hours of an 8 hour sleep, the last three nights it hasn't recorded anything. I've done the usual, higher up my wrist, changed wrists, changed setting to 'sensitive', re-set watch about 10 times and still no better ! Is it time for an exchange ?

I’m in the same boat. Mine was tracking great until about 2 months ago. I do the 3 in a row restarts, it’ll track sleep great for a night or two then go back to limited tracking. I’ve bought and changed to different bands, gone back to the original. I clean the reader. I try and wear it higher but it slips down to my wrist.

Help, I LOVE tracking my sleep! 😴💪🏻

I uninstalled the Fitbit app last night, then reinstalled it, I turned 'heart rate' sensor  to 'on' instead of 'auto'. It managed to record about 5 hours out of 6 hours asleep which is an improvement. I'll see how long it lasts.
