Charge 2 not pairing with my Galaxy A8

Hope someone can help me.  I have a Charge 2 that is not pairing with my Galaxy A8 which I have checked and it is compatible with the Charge 2.

When I try to connect (via Bluetooth) the message I get is “Couldn’t pait. Check settings for this device and try again”

I stopped getting calls and messages notifications two weeks ago. I have tried all the troubleshooting options and the Fitbit still does not pair with my phone.

@SandyEnr It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you syncing your Charge 2 with your phone and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Updated phone, updated then deleted app. Reinstalled the app. USED BLE app to find the tracker. Restarted phone repeatedly. Turned bluetooth on and off repeatedly. Along with following all the other steps listed here. It finally synced

Did yours ever start working again. I've just run into this with my A8 and fitbit, and all Fitbit wants to do is give me 25% of on my next tracker.
