Charge 2 not receiving text or call notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I cannot get my Charge 2 to send any text message notifications. This is the 2nd tracker I've had due to the 1st one being deemed defective by Fitbit (syncing issue). I've tried everything on the troubleshooting page. Any suggestions?

Hey @Alicel037, thanks for sharing those steps! Sometimes when an update is released,  some options in the app changed so you have to set your original options again.

@joyclal3, If you have an Android device, on the top of the app, tap on the Charge 2 icon, then scroll down and you'll see the always connected option, so just toggle on it.

Let me know if you have further questions, guys!

Hello I am beyond frustrated.  My Charge 2 is no longer receiving the calls or texts from my iPhone.  I have tried EVERYTHNG to get this to work.  When I go to Notifications in my fit bit app on my cell, it just circles and minutes, I mean minutes later a message pops up that says pairing failed try again and I click that and nothing happens.  Any advice out there to fix this problem?

Go to your charge 2 and scroll through the menu.  There is a notifications section. Like the sixth one over.  Check that it is on.  If off simply hold button until it switches to on.  I have read forum after forum and not one person suggested this.  Hope it helps.

Thank you. I figured it out. I know about the side menu button. I wish it was that easy 😉. Thank goodness for this forum as I was able to read through a ton of posts and I finally found my fix at least for now until the next time it happens. This is the second time that this happened to me and it was a different fix the second time around. As long as there is a fix and I can figure it out I am happy. Thank you again and have a great night.

Hey @DLINDSAY, welcome to the Forums. I appreciate the tip, 'cause many users (including myself) sometimes forget to turn ON the notifications, and it is not because there is an issue with them.

@GetHealthy1st, sounds pretty cool that your Charge 2 is getting notifications again. If you have further questions, keep me posted. 😉

Have a nice day!

What was the fix? I'm having the same issue of not receiving calls or email on my Charge 2 from my iPhone. I have all the notifications set correctly in Settings, and have Notifications On on the fitbit itself.

Hold down the button on the side of your charge 2 until your screen lights
up with "Notifications On",

Check all notifications on phone and then on app. Then notifications on Fitbit.
Re sync. That's what I did.

On the go from my iPhone

@HeydyF Thanks for the response. Texts and calls are coming through now, and for some reason I thought mail notifications were part of the package (but they are not) so I spend a while trying to configure that. So, all good over here!

Nothing has worked. I even uninstalled and reinstalled app. Total bummer this was a feature I wanted and paid for

I appreciate the update @fitmiss273! Sounds pretty cool that your Charge is working well with the call and text notifications. Unfortunately, this tracker doesn't have the option to receive mail notifications, since the software doesn't have the capability to support those type of messages. 🙂

@Sandyrn07, I hope you are doin' fine! I would like you to review the tips for iOS devices in this post to fix this issue with your Charge 2. Keep me posted with the results.
