Charge 2 not recording Bike activity

Hi,

During my ride, I have my Android Huawai phone in a backpack and the Charge2 on my left wrist. It begins fine, with the phone and Charge2 linked, when I return only the first minute or so of the ride has been recorded. It does it every time I go out. I had assumed that the two devices would Bluetooth throughout the whole ride. I'm no expert in these matters so,  please, can anyone help.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which Huawei mobile device are you using? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? This occur only with Bike exercise or with all of them? If you haven't already done so and in the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your Charge 2 and try again. Let me know if the issue persists so we can move forward.

I'm having the same issue but my device is a Samsung Galaxy s.10. I've never used the fitbit with this phone before and have now been cycling 5 times - 20km cycles are registering as around 0.2km, so they are only registering the start or end. My phone is set to sync automatically so there is no reason it should not be registering.

I just did my 2nd bike ride this week and my Fitbit is doing the same thing to me! I have an iPhone 11 in my backpack during the rides but it says I only went for 0.01 of a mile for both rides.

Hi,

I have done all of those things and am still having problems. I have also
received emails from others experiencing exactly the same problem but who
are using different types of phones. It's obviously a fault with the Charge
2 and not with the phone. I have some experience with these devices but
never had this type of problem before.

It basically records part of the journey only and then disconnects. In my
case, on a 12 KM bike ride, it usually records the first 0.2 km or less.

When I record a bike race Charge2 stops recording in less than 2 minutes. I tested with other activities and only had problems with biking.

 I already did restart Charge2 but it continues with this problem.

My smartphone is Samsung S9+. This problem began this week.
