I have the Charge 2. I have used it for exactly a year with no issues.
Yesterday and this morning I was jogging and the app (android) didn't track them.
So today I tried to log on to my account on my laptop, but my passwords didn't work and it would not send me the Password email.
So I re-synced my charge 2. Then I got on my treadmill for 12 mins.
My app still doesn't show any activity, even though I was looking at the watch while jogging so it was taking the data from my pulse and the laptop shows some activity.

Let me help you with your heart rate data and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Please do check that your own email is the one used on your account as it is odd that you didn't get the password change email. Still it sounds as if you still have access to your account.
For the heart rate reading, I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.
