I have just purchased new charge 2 fitbit but although the message shows sender details it doesn't show the content of the message. I have seen other posts back in July that fitbit are aware of the issue and trying to fix. Could you tell me if this as been sorted now. I have done all the troubleshooting resetting with laptop ect. Thanks

Fitbit has said that they will update the main thread for this issue when there are any updates so it's worth keeping an eye on that:

At the moment, it looks like it's still being worked on
