Charge 2 not tracking heart rate, suddenly turned off, and green lights constantly lit

So one day my fitbit charge 2 just stopped tracking heart rate. Later in the day, I noticed it randomly shut off, when I had charged it the night before. After charging the device again, it died in a matter of hours. I noticed the green heart rate sensor lights are lit constantly now rather than blinking quickly, and they stay on even when the watch is not moving. It used to flash very quickly, and only when the watch was moving when I wasn't wearing it.

 

I have tried restarting the it by holding the button down while plugged in until the logo appears. I've also tried turning heart rate monitoring between off and auto and syncing those several times.
