Charge 2 not walking up with wrist twist

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My charge 2 is not reliably waking up to see the face of it when I twist my wrist.  I'm having to push the button all the time.  I just got it yesterday, so am I doing something wrong?  Can I change the sensitivity or make it stay on all the time?

You cannot change the sensitivity nor make it stay on all the time, @aswasson, but with practice you will find the best way to trigger the Quick View function.  Check out this Help Article on Quick View for the best way to do it.

It seems that I must flick my wrist and not just turn it over. That's
annoying as I don't usually flick it so hard. It takes quite a jolt, is
that normal?
I also wear my watch on the inside of my wrist although I switched it to
try to see if that had an effect on turning it on and it didn't.

Yes, that is normal, @aswasson. It is designed that way so the display does not come on every time you move your arm or wrist - that would be especially annoying when you were trying to sleep.

It acctually comes on when I roll over in bed, but I have to use 2 hands to get the display to come on during the day.  What is the actual motion needed to wake it up?  Is it a twist or a shake?  I've found it scrolls easier if I tap just below the face on the wrist band.  It responds well to scroll through the menu then, but to get it to wake up is still pretty much beyond me.

I'm still wondering if I have a dud.  Does anyone have a video of them twisting their wrist to wake it up?

I lift my arm up so that the forearm is close to horizontal watch facing away or to the sky.. Now rotate it towards me.. Before it hits ventricle the display is lit.

I have irritatingly discovered a few things. One, it must be done a bit
slower and then pause to watch it come on. I don't think I was giving it
enough time to wake up. I move quick and expected it to come on earlier.
I would then try again and I'm sure I was confusing it.
Secondly, I can not wear my watch as I usually do with the watch facing on
the inside on my wrist. The rotation needed send to be the too of the
screen coming towards your body and by putting mine on the inside of my
wrist I was in turn, rotating it the other way.
That sucks that I can't wear it the way I've always work watches, but I
guess I can deal. If it could just come on earlier or let a person set it
so that it stays on, of be much happier. I don't mind charging it every
night if it could stay on.

Thanks for your response @aswassonSmiley Happy I agree with you that the quick view display should last a little bit more so we have enough time to see the time. 'Cause it happens to me that I turn my wrist, then I rapidly turn my face to another side and then I want to see my Charge 2 and the time is not longer there. For example, that could be very helpful when I'm driving. So, I suggest you to take a look and vote for this idea on our Feature Suggestion board, which requests pretty much the same.

Thanks for your participation @Rich_Laue and @USAF-Larry! 🙂

Same for me.  Am thinking of taking it back. I cannot, despite any twist, flick, twist motion get it to wake up yet it wakes up when I turn over in bed.  Drives me nuts as I want to wake it up with a wrist movement instead of having to touch the button.  Really annoying and happens only on my new 2, my old (which I lost ) was fine. 😱

Have you checked to see if quick view is turned on?

The procedure to turn on it's a 90° rotation of the wrist while the forearm is closed to horizontal.
