Charge 2 overheating and now dead

What the heck. Has anyone had any issues with overheating and battery dying?  For the last 2 days my app notified me that my battery was low. So I charged both days. I got a notice again this morning :sunrise_over_mountains: so I charged it and this afternoon it overheated and I couldn't get it off my wrist fast enough. Now it's dead and doesn't respond. If I try to charge again, it gets incredibly hot and I can't touch it. I actually put it in the fridge to cool it down.

I've had it just under 2 years I think. Not sure what to do and I am not spending more money on another to happen again.

This sounds very similar to what I experienced. A little over a week ago, my wrist started hurting (very mild pain) where it was in contact with the device. I've been wearing my Charge 2 daily since the fall of 2017, and this was a brand new issue.

Then last Friday, all of a sudden it was dead. I tried to recharge it. Nothing.

This is not solved! So, the new update killed our charge 2 and are there no solutions from Fitbit? Or, do we move on and buy a different brand? I was looking at the charge 3 but am not inclined to give them anymore of my money.

Is there a moderator who can reply to this post?

Lucy,

I used the Live Chat feature and the Fitbit rep was very helpful. I'm sorry your issue is not resolved, but I was very pleased with the assistance I received.

My Fitbit charge 2 is overheating on my arm but it continues to work. What can I do to have this corrected.  Does the new Versa have overheating issue like my Charge 3?
