Over the last few months my Fitbit will regularly not recognise that I've walked, even though I've taken maybe 7,000 steps with constant elevated heartrate which would be consistent with a walk.
This morning walked for one hour to work, no excercise recorded. Yesterday I walked for over 2 hours and did 12,200 steps- Fitbit recorded a walk of just 42 minutes! I haven't reached my 7-day excercise target for weeks even though I am over-achieving it every day.
This is a recent thing- has there been some kid of update that would cause this?
I've tried re-setting the device, re-insalling the app, I'm not carrying anything or pushing anything while I'm walking, and I'm not stopping during the walk. Nothing has changed with me. Very frustrating and demotivating never to be hitting my targets when I am!

I feel your pain.
Mine also did this randomly one day this week! Recorded 813 steps for the day, one walk alone was over 7,000 steps but not recorded. However it recorded I did 9 out of 9 hours at minimum 250 steps an hour which is 2250 so how did it only record 813 for the day?
I've reset it at least 10 times, deleted the app and reinstalled on my phone, disconnected bluetooth, you name it I've done it - apart from the one thing that may make it upload my steps because I don't know what it is 😞

Thanks for your reply Janet. It's very annoying and as there doesn't seem to be a solution I suppose I will just buy something else, give Garmin a go perhaps- Fitbit have a lot more competition these days so they are going to lose customers!
