Charge 2 recording more steps than usual

Hi. For the last 2 days, my Charge 2 is recording far more steps than likely!

It seems to have increased by about 6,000 steps!

Hi @Nen66. Welcome to the community forums.

Thank you for providing the details regarding the situation with your Charge 2.

I'd like you to double check that there are no manually logged activities in your Fitbit account, this could be interfering with your step count. 

Additionally, please note that your tracker might count some extra steps when you are driving over bumpy roads for long periods of time. In this case it's possible to log a driving activity and remove those steps from your account totals. To do so please see How do I edit or delete Fitbit data and activities? 

In the meantime, please perform a restart as indicated here: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
