Hello my Charge 2 has been showing multiple lines of dead pixels across the screen. There is at least 7 rows of pixels which do not light up. Is there anyway to fix this? The fitbit is barely a year old 😞
Thanks

I’m having the same problem on my Charge 3. It’s a little disappointing since I bought it in December 2018 and is no longer under warranty. My device hasn’t been hit or anything that would cause the dead pixels. I tried rebooting 3 times in a row but it didn’t solve the problem. Since this is such a common problem, I don’t think I’ll be a Fitbit again.

My screen is having issues. The top lines have gone black. It looks as if the screen has shifted upwards. Please help. It was purchased in August of 2018.

Hi
Im currently on my 2nd Fitbit charge 3 within a year. I have been having the same problems with my Fitbit. I had to get a replacement Fitbit I've only had this one for about 7 months and starting to have the exact same issue as before where my pixels are gone, be about another month and I won't be able to tell time or see notifications.

Hi, I am having the same issue. Tried restart several times but does not help. While i am ok as long as the unit is recording the data and is syncing, would be nice to have the screen being displayed properly. When i am wearing it, many people ask time and it gets difficult to explain the problem.
Been a fitbit user for nearly four years now and would love to continue with their products. Have you received any other solution other than trying to restart and see if it helps. Any idea as to how long the unit generally functions well, though the warranty is typically for one year?

How to fix my pixel lines

Thanks to try to help. Unfortunately, in my case my purchase was about 3 yrs back and have used the unit for nearly 2.5 yrs. so, no luck on warranty aspect for me.
And now just in one day, the entire unit is dead. i have charged to 100% yesterday. Today it just stopped suddenly and i cant turn it on. After going through several posts here, tried restarting after plugging it to the charger but couldn't restart. Even cleaned the contact points in the back of the fitbit unit and charge it, but no success there too. when i try to sync, the phone says no device found.
It is just so sad that the unit is pretty much dead and it happened so fast.

I have had exactly the same experience: lines of pixels began going out, and then the unit stopped functioning completely... blank screen. I have restarted and attempted to charge, but the unit (with lines of pixels still missing) stops functioning after a few minutes. Please create a case, and ideally replace the unit as this model appears to have a defect.

I noticed a line missing just after mine went beyond warranty last year. It has been steadily losing lines ever since. Since this is clearly not an isolated experience with this model, IMHO Fitbit should be extending their warranty and replacing units with this problem which is clearly some sort of manufacturing defect or design deficiency. I know that personal electronics of this nature are not expected to live all that long, but I do not think it unreasonable to expect that it should continue function flawlessly for somewhat more than just a year.
It's a shame as I've been a fan of Fitbit since my first "One" in 2012, but this was a disappointment and most quality device makers would have stepped up when it became clear this was not an isolated experience. It's now just a year and a month old with dozens of lines dead and when this unit finally becomes unreadable as it most likely will before the end of the year, I'll probably move on to a competitor's device.

Hello everyone. @JohnFBOne Welcome to the community forums.
I'm very sorry for the experience and thank you for the time you've taken to provide your feedback. I'd like to let you know that our team is always working to enhance your experience and your feedback is a big part of that process.
On a side note, for screen inconveniences my best recommendation is to follow the tips and suggestions from this thread. If you already performed those steps, you can contact our Support Team for further assistance. You can contact them through the link provided in the thread above or click here to get connected.
See you around.

Yes, I've been through the remedies on the threads here to no avail. (The only change that happened by following those instructions was that now my Fitbit no longer gets alerts from my phone as it did before. So now I have yet another problem to solve) I'm not going to bother with the Support link since the only obvious solution is to have it replaced, which as has been pointed out in this thread is not going to happen unless I pay for it.

I contacted Fitbit support on Twitter as my Charge 3 had dead pixel lines. They gave me the option of either receiving 50% off my next Fitbit or a replacement model, I took the latter option. Try and message them on Twitter and they should help you. Hopefully anyways!

@AlexHoulis Welcome to the community forums! Thanks for your great input!
@JohnFBOne If your Fitbit device is within warranty, the Support Team will be able to provide an option for a replacement device.
If your Fitbit Charge stopped receiving notifications, you can review some troubleshooting steps here. But take into consideration that the screen of your Charge 3 is a top priority and since I’ve reached the limits of what I can do for you here on the public community forums, my best recommendation is to contact my Support Team for further assistance.
See you around.

My Charge 3 is doing the same thing, screen Lines of Dead Pixels, very disappointing. It is 1 and 1/2 years old. What is being offered to make this right, since, apparently, it is a common problem.
