Hi
My Charge 2 suddenly stopped working properly for no reason. At the time, I was on what was a considerably lengthy hike (admittedly in very warm weather) and just a mile short of my goal the screen on my Fitbit went completely black, but the green light on my tracker was still working. When I got home, I connected the Fitbit to my charger, which and made sure I was on the correct software version as advised on the website. The Fitbit seemed to indicate that it had run out of battery, so I charged it to full and started using it again and for a very short time everything seemed ok. However, not more than a couple of hours later the same thing happened again? Does anyone know what the problem might be? I've used the device everyday for other strenuous work outs, often in warm (and therefore sweaty) conditions, and routinely keep it clean and dry, but I have never had this problem before and I only bought the device approx.17 months ago (Feb 2017).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks 🙂

Hey @Kparker19, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! Thanks for trying to restart your Charge 2 to fix this. Let me ask you this, when you charge it, can you see the batter icon on it? If not, could you please follow the tips in this help article to charge it? If it does, restart it again and let me know if it works!

Hey @DpMoynihan, it is great to see new members around! Oh! I'm sorry to hear about what is happening with your Charge 2. But don't you worry, I would suggest you to try to restart your Charge 2 by following the instructions in this post, to avoid this from happening again. On the other hand, I'd like you to take into consideration the environmental conditions for the Charge 2:

Hey @Catzss, welcome to the Fitbit forums! If your Charge 2 isn't responding at all, I'd like to know if you already tried to restart it. If you haven't, please follow these instructions and let me if it responds after that.
1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You'll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker's display. Your Charge 2 will begin charging.
4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for four seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, this means the tracker has restarted.
5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
If it gets back to life after that, please make sure to set the heart rate monitor to On or Auto, so the green lights turn on.
Let me know if that works!

Hello Fitbit team!
I have a similar issue. My tracker screen has started to act weird all of a sudden in the middle of a session. The information was showing half out of screen or with lines crossing horizontally. I have read the support articles and tried to restart that seemed successful. It has worked for a few hours then started again. In the days after I did another restart that worked again but at the end the screen got totally black. It reacts to restarts as it buzzes and it still has the HR sensors on so it is tracking something but the screen is not working for a few days now. Could you please help what to do? I love the device, bought it at the end of Nov 2016...thanks a lot!
