Charge 2 showing peak heart rates even when I am seated (office)

Hi All,

I lead a fairly active lifestyle - light workout / play badminton 6 days a week. Since 4 months, my Charge 2 has been showing peak heart rates (more than 180 bpm) throughout the day even on weekdays, when I am in office. I have a desk job which is not that stressful so these peak heart rates are not easily explainable. Either the device is faulty or I need to visit a cardiologist 🙂

Wondering if anyone else has faced this before.

@Venky-in Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 showing incorrect heart rate while working. I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

@AlvaroFitbit  - As an experiment I tried using my Mom's fitbit for a few days and it showed the same readings. Today I am using my dad's charge 2 and the same readings.

All of the devices show sudden spikes (180+) in heart rate and then drops (100-). Guess an appointment with cardiologist is the only way out 🙂
