Charge 2 shows Unknown caller id

Ever since android update 9 June 6, caller id on Charge 2 shows "unknown." Using Samsung Galaxy S8. Worked great before update.

I have verified all permissons are on (phone, location, sms, contacts), have deleted and reinstalled app, have force stopped and reset bluetooth,  have logged out and in. Still showing "unknown".

Let me help you with your Charge 2 notifications and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I suggest you refresh the link between your phone and your Charge 2 by doing the following:

 

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device. 
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. 
  • You can find additional suggestions here.
