Charge 2 shows no heart rate since the latest firmware update

My Charge 2 no longer shows heart rate  (shows as - -) after the latest firmware update. After rebooting my Fitbit by holding down the button for 4 seconds, the heart rate light stays on and the battery drains within 20 minutes.

@apmurray99, it's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not reading your heart rate and its battery draining quickly. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can also find additional suggestions here. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

@AlvaroFitbit. Thanks for your advice. My Fitbit is no longer draining at a rapid rate after restarting. However, after cleaning the contacts, restarting the device, turning heart rate off, restarting the device, and turning heart rate back on, my Fitbit is still not reading heart rate.
The heart rate light stays on constantly without flickering regardless if I have the heart rate monitor set to on or off.
I saw a post on the Fitbit 3 community page by the moderator stating that this same issue was happening after the last firmware release and that they would be pushing out a new firmware release to correct it. Would that same issue also be affecting Fitbit 2?
