Charge 2 shutting off - not battery related

Every day my charge 2 seems to shut off and not log my steps. I press the button on the side and it comes back on as if it had had a reboot. It is not battery related as when it comes back on there is still life in it. 

I have tried doing reboots and this hasn’t fixed anything. 

it’s really annoying as it’s not logging my steps when it’s shut off
