In the past few months my Charge 2 has started to drop entire nights of sleep tracking. When I sync in the morning, it has got heart rate details, but no sleep tracking at all. In the past two weeks it has got worse and it has missed three consecutive days, which seem to have been lost permanently.
I have reset it multiple times, and closed and restarted the app (iOS) and the phone (iPhone XS).
The Charge 2 is running 22.58.0
This sounds like a problem that many people have reported. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the Charge 2 itself - all other activity tracking works fine. Is this a known bug in the iOS app?

@gutbag It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your sleep detection and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your device will start recording sleep after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.

Either I have a different problem or else the problem stated is misunderstood. A month ago, my Charge2 quit monitoring my sleep details, awake, REM, deep sleep, etc. It monitors my total sleep activity (hours asleep) quite accurately. I tried to correlate this problem to software updates but I can't find the dates of software updates. The procedures I see for restarting my Charge2 do not seem to work as per the description (putting device in charge mode and pushing mode button until logo appears). Change sleep sensitivity setting? Thanks
