Charge 2 still showing www.fitbit.com/setup after setup

I have finally gotten my charge 2 to sync with my PC and it is showing in the app, but it still has the web site www.fitbit.com/setup scrolling across the screen and in the app it shows there is a firmware update but it will not update my device.

@missy809, if your tracker is still showing the fitbit.com/setup, you did not successfully complete the setup procedures, and it cannot track your activity nor sync with your app.   Is it a Windows 10 computer? When you started the setup procedures, did it find the tracker, and connect to it?

@missy809 It's nice to have you on board! Where you able to setup your tracker? As @USAF-Larry if your tracker is showing this message it means the setup hasn't been completed successfully. If you are still having issues then please let us know the computer you are using and what you have tried up to this point. Your computer should be a Windows 10 or Mac with integrated bluetooth running the Fitbit software. You can also try restarting your computer or bluetoth and then restart your tracker before the setup process by doing the following:

 

Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.

 

You can also use a compatible mobile device to setup your tracker.

Sorry to jump in here, but I'm having the same problem. I'm using Windows 10 and yes, my bluetooth shows it connected, but the tracker is still scrolling the setup message.  When I plug in the charger, I feel the vibration, which I'm assuming that means it is charging.  But even hooked up to the charger the message is scrolling.

I rebooted, and tried to restart the tracker, but it never restarted.  Help! 😞

@PRoz I hope you're doing well! You will need to install the Fitbit app for Windows 10 and from it you will need to retry the setup process. Once the tracker is paired it will show the time and all your activity data. Make sure that the tracker is fully charged before you attempt the setup by plugging it for a couple of hours (you won't see the battery level at this point so just leave it charging for this time).

My tracker shows the same thing and I have logged out in my android phone I have switched off the Bluetooth I have tried starting fresh nothing is working

Let me help you with your Charge 2. Have you tried restarting your tracker as explained in my previous post? After this try setting it up using different devices (a Windows 10 computer or different phone).

Hi sorry but I’ve signed up on a Samsung and then I still have the www.fitbit.com/setup then I tried on my iPad and logged in and it still shows the same thing is there any ideas that  would help?

I noticed that your tracker is paired and syncing. Do you still get the message?
