Hi

For last 2 days my charge 2 is charging up fine but not holding its charge. After 12 hours I need to charge again. Before this it lasted around 5 days. I did an update a few days ago on software will this be the reason ? Can it be fixed ?

A new one won't work either as it's the software!

Its Android 9 pie that their software won't link with !

If you received a response to your email, what response did they give you?

Hi,
How did you get the help?  Did you contact Fitbit directly?

Hi I contacted them through Facebook messenger. Easiest way. I was informed that my Android 9 pie on my phone was incompatible with their software update. They are trying to resolve.

So has the update affected all Charge 2’s? I still haven’t had a response to my second email or my fb messenger message yet. I’ve done everything they asked and the charge still only lasts 2 hrs!

Mine has always lasted about a week. Then yesterday it needed charging. I charged it overnight, put it on this morning, and by noon it was dead.

I haven't looked at the app since March. I have an Iphone, and if it updated something its news to me.

I'm sorry for the delayed response. I went to Fitbit.com, under "help" and it took me to their Twitter where they asked me for my email address.

@DollyBee @Tiggerc1 @bookooc @MJ--19 @PollyKettle, welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not holding a charge. Try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can also find additional suggestions here. If the issue persist please let our Support team know about this as some of you have already done.

Let me know how it goes.

The device does charge up to 100% (or so it indicates) but the charge goes
down rapidly.

cleaning the contacts will not work when I've already been told that Fitbit have update their software and won't work with my Android phone software 9.0

Has this problem been fixed yet ?

This is what Fitbit advised and it worked for me. They also recently did a software update. I have an iPhone so don't know if Android users are still having issues after the update.

" Please try giving your Charge 2 a restart and observe if the HR sensors respond properly. Once it does, try these syncing tips: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866. If it syncs normally, perform the battery test as follows:
-Disable the features that can impact battery life as described in: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/2004.
-Fully charge your tracker.
-Sync your tracker 5-6 times a day.
-Wear your tracker until it is fully depleted.
When your battery is completely drained, let us know and we'll check on things for you. Let us know how it goes and if you have other questions."
