Charge 2 stopped syncing, will not re-pair after battery completely died

Today while at work my Charge 2 completely died due to low battery, it was behaving kind of odd as it hadn't synced for the previous 4 days. Once I got home and charged it again it continued to not sync. I attempted to un-pair and re-pair the device on my Pixel 3 with no success. I'd get to the screen where I would enter the pairing number, and it would just fail after that. I later attempted to re-pair using my laptop which is bluetooth enabled again with no success, but with my laptop it would never even get to the pairing number stage. The device will show up as discoverable both on my laptop and phone, but I'm unable to pair it with my Fitbit account.

I found 1 other thread with the same issue that had some recommeded steps, which I followed all of with no success. Really don't want to buy a new device but feeling stuck in that situation. Any advice would be appreciated.

@uncurlhalo It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Let me help you with this and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. You don't specify which troubleshoots you have tried so I suggest you clear the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, on an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  5. You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Alvaro,

Thanks for the reply. I went through all the steps you outlined this
morning and also followed the steps in the troubleshooting link at the end
of your post but still wasn't having any luck.

I still get to the step where a code appears on my device and I enter it on
my phone but then it gets stuck at connecting before giving me a try again
screen.

One new thing though is that last night I got an Android update to my
device. I won't be able to install that until after work today, but I'll
retry the steps in your post and at that link tonight after updating my
phone.

In the meantime do you have any other advice or things I could try?

Thanks
