Charge 2 stopped tracking sleep stages

Hi all, My sleep stages were tracked up until January 2nd without any issues.  Ever since then, I haven't gotten any sleep stages data.  Nothing has changed since then. I just checked my heart rate stats, and it appears it stopped recording them on January 2nd as well.  How do I fix that?  Thanks.

Let me add a 'me too' to this.

Last full sleep graph was January 1, 2019.

Rest of the functions seem to be working okay.

Sleep stages stopped after update. Now button doesn’t work by pressing. Screen tap works. Reset tried but doesn’t work.

Same as the above users - I'm getting simplified sleep details 5/7 times, but I've only gotten detailed sleep data twice since 12/29. App and phone are up to date and Fitbit is reading my heart rate just fine.

I’ve been getting simplified sleep stages 2-3 times a week since November then 4-5 times through December and every night in January.  I’ve even tried manually starting and stopping sleep for the last 3 nights. To no avail.

Stopped tracking sleep stages after last app version updates 4 days ago ????

Checked all settings and reset - no luck.

For my Charge 2, the issue of sleep graph has resolved itself.

Wish I could say I did something or found some slick fix but it seems to have healed itself.

I can say that Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium ran automatic updates on my PC and completed yesterday, late so....  Otherwise my Fitbit Charge 2 firmware version stayed the same at 22.22.55.2

My computer updated as well the other night.  Windows 7 Home Premium.  Then when I got up this morning and synced my fitbit, my sleep stages were back.  Guess it fixed itself?  Here's hoping it continues!  Good luck everyone!

I've woke up this morning and can't get any data for my sleep. I'm on Android. I wonder if it's the app rather than the watch. Will keep trying I guess.

I add my "me too" as well, with some more details: I have only seldom got sleep stages with my Charge 2, and the last time was october 30th. I don't understand what's going on!

I’ve given up on Fitbit ever fixing this for Charge 2 users. As far as I can tell, they have left us high and dry since they have stopped sending firmware updates for the Charge 2. Besides not getting sleep stages (that I haven’t gotten since December 24, and only sporadically prior to that date), I often don’t get credit for activity minutes when I have exercised but often get activity minutes when I’m inactive or when I’m not even wearing my tracker!

I have no confidence in any of the data that is provided by this tracker. I have found so many inconsistencies right from the beginning when I got the tracker a year ago (many of which I’ve posted) that I can't rely on any of it. The only data I can rely on are the ones I input myself (weight and exercise, both of which I manually enter). The only things that work well automatically are the watch itself to tell me what time it is and the notifications for incoming text messages and phone calls. I don’t need a tracker for that; my cell phone gives me the same information.

I will never purchase a Fitbit product again since they can’t deliver on the features they advertise and don’t stand behind their products.

I've not had any problems with mine since I got it in 2017, except for the sleep issue menioned above, which worked correctly the next night, ongoing.

I did have my footsteps count and mileage not reset at midnight for some reason the other night but again, it worked fine the night after.

It does say about wearing the fitbit up your arm a bit, not at the base of your wrist. I have an emergency id bracelet on the same wrist, so my fitbit sits further up my arm but also, having it too tight on your arm can affect results.  Just a couple of suggestions there.
