Charge 2 was tracking sleep regularly with the occasional glitch, but about a month and a half ago, it pretty much stopped tracking the specifics of my sleep. I get the simplified sleep report but nothing else. I've tried moving it up my wrist a bit, tightening it, loosening it, rebooting it...everything I've read on the boards, I've tried with no success. The only thing I've changed – and this happened after the problem began – is putting on a new band. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I have the same issue. My fitbit charge2 started giving simplified sleep over a week ago. Nothing has changed at all in how I use it. I have tried all the suggestions on the forum, including restarting the fitbit, but nothing has worked so far.

Hey @Chilliz and @SkipZ, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community!
I appreciate the time you have taken to fix your Charge 2 so it keeps tracking your sleep stages. Beside of what you already tried, I'd like you wear your Charge 2 on the other wrist while you are sleeping to see if it better detects your heart rate and therefore, yous sleep stages.
Let me know how it goes! 😉

I tried having the tracker on my other wrist last night but sleep stages were still simplified this morning. My heart rate is being tracked correctly with no gaps for the last week, so I don’t think the problem is with being unable to record the heart rate. Does it help that the app is on an iPad mini and not an iPhone?

Interestingly , without me doing anything,I got full sleep stages last night. Let’s see how long this lasts.

Hey @SkipZ, thanks for your reply! When you go to sleep, yes, you can go to your Fitbit account and, for better results, change the wrist location too. Then sync your Charge 2 to save the changes. Let me know how it goes. 😉
@Chilliz, I appreciate the update! Sounds great that your Charge 2 is tracking your sleep again. If you have further questions or comments, let me know!
Have a nice day guys!

Sorry, what I asked was whether I needed to change the wrist assignation on
my account and then change the wrist for sleep. If I don’t do that, will I get the
right reading?

Yes @SkipZ, change the wrist assignation on your Fitbit account, and of course, on your wrist too, while you sleep, then sync your Charge 2 to see if the readings are more accurately calculated. This is a tip that might work, and you can keep changing it if you'd like to wear your Charge 2 on different wrists while you sleep and during the day.
Let me know if you have further questions!
